Bestwicks are able to offer a Mobile Horse Trailer Service that is comprehensive and carried out by an experienced engineer. We have experience in most Horse Trailer designs; Ifor Williams, Wessex, Richardson etc.

What areas do you cover for your Mobile Horse Trailer Servicing?

We cover Derby and the surrounding area, but also a vast part of Derbyshire. For instance we go as far North as Chesterfield & down South to Swadlincote. We will always consider other locations if its practical, as we do cover some parts of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Please contact us and we can confirm attendance at your choice of location and quote you accordingly. Bestwicks are able to service your Horse Trailer at your Home, Stables, Livery Yard or Equestrian Centre. If its more convenient, you can bring it to our shop for the service.

How much do you charge?

Our servicing costs start at £249.00 (inc. VAT) for our mobile, full service in the Derby and surrounding area. This amount may vary if our engineer has to travel out of area. Please contact us for a quote to confirm. If we do find parts or components that need replacing, such as Tyres, Brake shoes or a Bearing – we will quote you separately for this work.

How often should a Horse Trailer be Serviced?

Undetected faults are the major cause of breakdowns and accidents. The consequences of an accident can be devastating and we recommend that you have your Horse Box serviced once a year irrespective of mileage. The reason for this, is that brake cables can seize up, tyres can degrade (even if the tread looks OK) and ramp hinges can fail. Just to name a few possible faults!

Absolutely amazing customer care from start to finish. My iFor Williams horse trailer had been stood for a while and needed servicing, brakes and some work on the handbrake which had stopped working. Alan serviced it effortlessly and replaced all the brakes. He then came out to me numerous times to fix an awkward problem with the handbrake.
